940 Saturdays

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

The short version. 940 Saturdays stores everything on your iPhone. We don't run servers, we don't have accounts, we don't collect analytics, and we don't share your data with anyone. If you delete the app, your data is gone.

What we collect

940 Saturdays collects the information you choose to enter into the app — your child's name and birthday, your daily routine times, your presence ratings, memories you write, and photos you attach to reflections. All of this is stored locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework.

We do not collect analytics, crash reports, usage telemetry, advertising identifiers, or any kind of behavioral data.

What we don't do

Subscriptions and payments

When you purchase a subscription or lifetime access, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We receive a transaction receipt from Apple that confirms your entitlement — we never see your name, payment method, email, or Apple ID. Refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.

Notifications

940 Saturdays schedules local notifications on your device (before-moment nudges, evening reflections, weekly recaps). These are scheduled locally using Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter and are never sent through our servers or any push service. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.

Photos

If you attach a photo to a memory, it is stored inside the app's local SwiftData store. Photos never leave your device. When you choose a photo, iOS uses its PHPicker which does not grant us access to your full photo library — only the photos you explicitly select.

Data retention and deletion

Because we don't have servers, there is no server-side data to retain. You can delete any individual reflection or child at any time in Settings. You can also wipe all data with the "Reset all data" option in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes all data from your device.

Children's privacy

940 Saturdays is intended for parents and caregivers, not children. The app asks parents to enter their own child's name and birthday, which is stored only on the parent's device. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us at the email below and we will address it — though because we run no servers, any such information would only exist on the device that entered it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
